Job Title : Community Assistant
Reports to : Community Manager

Job Summary

The Community Assistant is responsible for delivering high quality customer service and a positive community experience for both prospective and current residents. This position supports the property’s leasing and occupancy goals by assisting with resident events, leasing outreach, and prospect tours.  As a representative of the property, the Community Assistant plays an integral role in property’s reputation. An attention to customer service and satisfaction is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures

  • Always represent the property in a professional manner

  • Keep current on required training as assigned, including but not limited to Grace Hill training

  • Provide office support by answering the phone and meeting face-to-face with residents. Listen to all resident requests, concerns, or comments and make sure to follow-up in a timely manner.

  • Enter maintenance service requests

  • Accept rental payments and answer basic questions about resident/prospect ledgers

  • Greet prospects, qualify them based the property’s rental criteria, and follow up as needed

  • Lead property tours with prospective residents and parents

  • Using Entrata, create leases and verify that prospective residents have fully executed their portions of the agreement

  • Use Entrata to document all prospect and resident interactions and communications

  • Participate in outreach marketing (housing fairs, on-campus events, etc.) as requested

  • Participate in on-call emergency rotation

  • Other duties and responsibilities, as needed/assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • Strong communication skills

  • High-energy and enjoys a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent customer service skills. Must be warm, friendly, and helpful both in person and on the phone.
